英格蘭超級足球聯賽賽季最佳球員是英格蘭的一項足球獎項，每年頒發一次，頒給在當賽季英超聯賽中發揮最出色的球員。獲獎者是由聯賽贊助商組織的一個「包含足球管理機構、媒體和球迷」的小組選出，評選結果在每年的5月第二或第三周公布[A][1][2]。因贊助商冠名，該獎在1994-2001年被稱為卡爾靈（英語：Carling Brewery）賽季最佳球員，2001-2004年，被稱為巴克萊信用卡賽季最佳球員[3]，2004-2016年被稱為巴克萊賽季最佳球員[4]，2016年後，被稱為EA賽季最佳球員。

英超聯賽創立於1992年，當時英格蘭甲級聯賽的球隊脫離了英格蘭足球聯賽系統，建立了一個商業上獨立的聯賽，自主與轉播商和贊助商談判[4]。1992-93賽季，英超聯賽沒有贊助商，直到1993-94賽季，才與卡爾靈簽訂了4年1200萬英鎊的贊助合約[5]，也是在這個賽季，英超金靴獎等個人獎項開始創立[6]，但賽季最佳球員這一獎項在1994-95賽季才開始頒發[7][8]，第一位獲獎者是布力般前鋒阿倫·舒利亞，他在這一賽季隨隊獲得英超冠軍，並獲得金靴獎[8][9]。
截止2021-22賽季結束後，泰亞利·亨利，尼曼查·維迪, 基斯坦奴·朗拿度和奇雲·迪布尼各獲得兩次英超賽季最佳球員，得獎次數並列第一，其中C朗是唯一一位連續兩次獲得該獎的球員（2007、2008年）。有八位英超金靴獎獲得者在當賽季同時獲得的英超賽季最佳球員[10][11]；其中四位更獲得了當賽季的歐洲金靴獎——奇雲·菲臘斯[12]、泰亞利·亨利[13]、C朗和路易斯·蘇亞雷斯[14][15]。16位球員在獲得英超賽季最佳球員的同時隨隊奪得當賽季的英超冠軍[1][16]。基斯坦奴·朗拿度是目前唯一一位在獲得英超賽季最佳球員的同賽季獲得國際足協世界足球先生的球員[17]。
